Tremron Kitchen Remodeling: The Santa Clarita Owner’s Guide

If you have a Tremron kitchen product that’s failing, worn, or no longer matching the rest of your Santa Clarita home, a full kitchen remodel typically runs $14,000 – $45,000 here, with most of our Tremron-related updates landing in the $18,000 – $32,000 range depending on cabinet scope and countertop material. We stock Tremron-compatible hardware, trim, and cabinet components on our trucks, and we can usually have a parts list priced and a written quote in your hands within a few days of the first measurement. Most owners discover the problem the same way: a drawer that won’t close square, a cabinet frame pulling away from the wall, or a countertop seam that’s opened up wider every summer as the dry Santa Clarita heat works the wood.

Sawyer Remodel Santa Clarita is an independent remodeling contractor. We are not affiliated with Tremron, but we’ve rebuilt and repaired enough Tremron kitchens across Valencia, Newhall, and Canyon Country to know their cabinet boxes, hinge systems, and edge profiles cold.

Which Tremron Models This Applies To

Tremron’s kitchen line splits into two groups that need different handling. The framed cabinet series (the older stock lines you’ll still find in a lot of Santa Clarita homes built between 1995 and 2015) uses 1/2-inch plywood boxes with face frames stapled at the corners. The frameless or Euro-style series uses 3/4-inch panels with confirmat screws and cup hinges drilled at 35mm. Here’s the gotcha: the hinge cup depth is not interchangeable between lines. If you swap a frameless hinge onto a framed door, the door sits proud by about 3/16 of an inch and will never close flush.

To identify what you have, pull one drawer and look at the box joint. Framed boxes show a visible 1-1/2-inch face frame rail. Frameless boxes are butt-jointed panels with no face frame. On the hinge itself, look for a stamped number: Tremron’s 110-degree soft-close hinge is marked “TH-110,” while the standard self-close is “TS-95.” For aftermarket replacements, Blum and Salice both make direct-fit equivalents for the Euro line. For the framed series, we almost always recommend staying with OEM Tremron hardware because the hinge plate spacing is proprietary.

Signs Your Tremron Kitchen Remodeling Is Failing

  • Drawers drift open on their own. The soft-close mechanism inside the slide has worn past its detent. Once one drawer starts doing it, the others on that bank are usually weeks behind.
  • Cabinet doors hang at a visible angle. The hinge plate screws have stripped out of the particleboard side panel. Tightening them usually makes it worse because the board behind the screw is now dust.
  • Countertop seams widen every August and close back up in January. The Santa Clarita Valley swings 40 to 50 degrees between seasons, and if the cabinets below weren’t shimmed level, the stone flexes at the seam every cycle. Eventually the seam adhesive fails.
  • The cabinet frame pulls away from the wall at the top. The original install may have skipped a ledger board or used drywall anchors instead of driving into studs. Over time, the weight of dishes and stone works the screws loose.
  • Drawer fronts crack at the bottom corners. The dovetail is fine; the real problem is a slight rack in the cabinet box, which means the drawer front is bearing load it was never meant to carry.

Replacement Cost & What’s Included

New painted shaker cabinets with an organized deep drawer

In Santa Clarita, a Tremron-specific kitchen remodeling project breaks down like this:

  • Cabinet box repair or partial replacement: $4,000 – $13,000 depending on how many boxes are compromised and whether we’re keeping the existing doors.
  • Countertop replacement (with Tremron cabinet reshimming): $2,000 – $6,500 for the slab and install, more if you’re moving from laminate to quartz.
  • Full kitchen remodel including cabinets, counters, backsplash, and island work: $14,000 – $45,000, with the bulk of jobs landing between $18,000 and $32,000.

Every quote includes the parts list, the labor, and the disposal fees, written out line by line before you approve anything. That’s the Relay Standard. We don’t hand you a bottom-line number and hope you won’t ask what’s behind it. The 365-Day Done Right Promise covers the work: if a door binds, a slide fails, or a seam opens within a year, we come back and fix it. No invoice.

DIY or Call Us?

You can check a few things yourself. Pull the drawers and look for loose slide screws; if they’re just backed out, a Phillips head fixes that in two minutes. Shine a light inside the cabinet and look for gaps between the box and the wall. If the gap is uniform, the cabinet was never scribed to the wall. That’s an install issue, not a part failure.

What you shouldn’t do is try to shim, reset, or rescrew cabinet boxes that are pulling away from the wall, especially uppers. A loaded upper cabinet can weigh 200 pounds or more. If it comes down while you’re working under it, you’re in an emergency room, not a kitchen. We lift and secure cabinets with temporary braces before we touch a single fastener. If your Tremron cabinets are sagging or separating, call us. Luca Romano has flattened enough crooked cabinet runs in Santa Clarita to know where the real problem hides, and it’s rarely the first screw you find.
